Repatriation

Repatriation to another State or Country.

In addition to sending someone who has passed away to any state in the US, we also provide repatriation to any country in the world. We have the resources and knowledge to send a loved one home for burial or cremation and forward the urn or casket to the final resting place.

Items often needed from the family would be the deceased’s passport, birth certificate, current address, place of birth, parent’s names (including mother’s maiden name,) name of cemetery including the city name and the receiving funeral home’s contact information. The means for transportation to another country is by airlines. The prices will vary according to the airlines; commercial, cargo or private jet. The time frame to be expected depends upon the time needed to obtain the country’s document requirements. It can vary anywhere from 1 week to a month. The funeral home’s responsibilities include; assisting in obtaining/filing the required documents for customs (including apostilles if needed,) preparation and care of deceased, provide the proper transfer casket/receptacle, and scheduling flight arrangements. We are a registered, known shipper to the majority of the current airlines. This affords us more options when planning a flight and expedites the process.

Please contact us if you would like more information as to how we may help you in this process.
