William "Bill" Joseph LaMonica

William Joseph LaMonica (Bill), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 22, 2023

Bill was born August 19th,1939 in Bronx, NY to parents Phillip LaMonica and Phyllis Makowski. He attended Fordham Preparatory HS and graduated from Fordham University in 1961 where he earned a BS in Finance and Accounting. After college and throughout his life, Bill continued to find success in various financial and executive roles and had a true entrepreneurship spirit.

Bill had three daughters from his marriage to Pam LaMonica and his later partner Sue Melvin: Suzette, Danielle and Nicole. He was a proud dad who taught his girls to be strong and always supported their youthful dreams.

Bill was active in numerous community clubs, enjoyed golfing, cooking and loved to travel. He had a memory like a steel trap remembering every detail of his encounters and special happenings throughout all his travels. From these travels he developed a deep passion for food and cooking and loved sharing his talents with others. He was a true gourmet and his annual family holiday feasts will be remembered by many! All of this represented his true joys of entertaining, storytelling and spending time with his friends and family. 

Bill will be deeply missed, but his stories, memories and spirit will carry on by all who loved him. He is survived by his daughters Suzette Tucci and her husband Frederic, Danielle Caianiello, Nicole LaMonica, Sister Renee Marraffino and her husband Leonard, along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Life will be held for his family and friends.
