Vincent Dell (Vincenzo Del Borrello Jr.), 86, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away at home on February 27, 2021.
Born Christmas Day, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Elizabeth “Grace” Forte and Vincenzo Del Borrello Sr., who immigrated from Vasto, Italy. Vincent served in the US Army and partnered with his brother in an automobile repair shop. After several years, he then started a successful insurance adjusting business in Flushing, NY. Vincent sold the business and after a short retirement, became President of a messenger service in NYC until he retired again in 2000.
Vincent was a hard-working, dedicated, caring person who cherished his friends and family alike. He loved being on the water and owned several boats over his lifetime, learned to play and enjoyed golf as well as being a life-long tennis player who regularly attended the US Open in Flushing Meadows each year. Vincent was a world-traveler who enjoyed cruises as much as his American Express travel adventures. He was a philanthropist who donated to several charities, including Alzheimer’s Research and Cancer Awareness & Treatment. Vincent was a son, a father, a brother, a husband, an employer, and most importantly, someone who you could call a friend. His humor, quick wit, and great smile could light up any room.
Vincent will be remembered by his wife of more than 50 years, Francine, his sister, Phyllis Ebert, his son, Vincent Del Borrello III and his wife Michele, his grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Vincent was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Del Borrello, and Michael Del Borrello.
A memorial service celebrating Vincent’s life will be held on Saturday, March 20th, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
