Mrs. Susan Emmott Forsythe, age 90, passed away on March 24, 2021 at St. Andrews Estates ACTS Retirement Community in Boca Raton, FL.  Her husband of 64 years, Jesse Garrett Forsythe, passed away in 2017.  She is survived by her son, Garrett and his wife Vicki, in West Palm Beach, FL, her daughter, Patricia and her fiancé Brian Marx, in Royal Palm Beach, FL, her sister, Pat and husband Dick Chappell, in Wilmington, DE, her granddaughter, Keri and husband Casey Stephens, in Canton, GA her grandson, Jay and his wife Julie Hughes, in Charleston, SC, and two great-grandchildren, Harper and Nolan Stephens.

Sue was a long time Media, PA resident up until 3 years ago when she moved to Florida.  She graduated from the George School in Newtown, PA and obtained her Business Degree from the University of Delaware.  She worked for Houdry Processing before raising her family.  She began substitute teaching for the Rose Tree Media School District and continued teaching a variety of courses and grade levels for over a dozen years.

Sue and her husband were members of Media Monthly Meeting and actively involved for many years.  She loved to travel in and outside the U.S. and be with people and she was always there for friends and family with her outgoing and friendly personality.   Sue and her family spent many summers at their Elk River, MD cottage and enjoyed boating and the sunshine. 

Funeral arrangements will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Acts Legacy Foundation for the Acts Retirement-Life Communities are recommended.
