Obituary

RoseMarie Pietronigro passed away peacefully at her home in Delray Beach on Monday, March 20, 2023 surrounded by her family at the age of 84. She was the beloved wife of Al for nearly 65 years and the most loving mother of Lisa Rose, Joanne, LoriAnn, and John.  She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Lisa Rose Helfgott, and is survived by her six grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Anthony, Elena Rose, and Giovanni.

RoseMarie was born on September 17, 1938, was a lifelong resident of New York, and recently became a year round Floridian.

RoseMarie was a full-time mother and then became a legal secretary for 22 years once her youngest child was in 2nd grade.  She was an amazing cook and loved to entertain her family and friends.  She unconditionally and unselfishly loved her children and supported them all her life through the many highs and difficulties of their lives.

RoseMarie was a devout Catholic, and that faith got her through the hardest time in her life when she lost her eldest daughter at 35 years old to brain cancer.  Her strength held true time and time again through many hardships. This strength acted as a beacon that she used to lift her family up.

Once she became a grandmother, RoseMarie dedicated herself to her grandchildren, sometimes driving 90 miles to babysit.  She was selfless, dependable, loving, kind, and considerate, and always put her family first.

RoseMarie was beautiful inside and out.  She volunteered her time to help disabled people, was a great seamstress and dancer, and had many friendships that lasted decades.  She will be sorely missed and will always remain in our hearts.
