Robert “Bob” William Simpson, 83, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away peacefully at home on
December 2nd, 2021.
A long time resident of Massachusetts, Maine, and Florida, Bob was well loved by the
community and will be greatly missed. Bob was born on October 13, 1938 in Springfield,
Massachusetts to the late William and Yvonne Simpson. In his youth, he graduated from the
High School of Commerce class of 1956.
Ever ambitious and hardworking, Bob later tried out as a pitcher for the New York Giants. He
played for one year but was later injured. Determined, he later attended Western New England
College. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1956 to 1961.
Additionally, Bob was the Administer of Rental Properties for the U.S. Postal Service and retired
after 31 years. Throughout his busy career and life as a family man, he also loved being the
Commissioner of Little League Baseball for Ludlow, MA for 4 years.
True to his passions, Bob enjoyed retirement in both Maine and Florida, playing golf, painting,
gardening, and watching the Patriots. Moreover, he loved spending time with his wife, Sheila, of
63 years. Together, Sheila & Bob formed a lasting love and raised a beautiful family together.
Bob will be remembered by his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Sheila of 63 years, his
loving children; Cynthia “Todd” Algiere, Robert “Kimm” Simpson, 5 grandchildren Amanda,
Curtis, Derek “Jaclyn”, Adam, Taylor, and great-grandson Carter. All of whom will miss him
dearly and cherish the memories he provided them with.
Funeral service will be held at a later date by the discretion of the family in Massachusetts.
