Paul Bach Obituary

Paul Harvey Bach of Boca Raton, Florida formerly of Margate, passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, May 21st at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on November 11, 1944, the son of Paul and Lucille Bach. Paul was a distinguished athlete winning a gold medal in gymnastics in 1963 at the University of Illinois. Paul graduated from the University of Illinois, School of Architecture and Fine Art, where he received a Bachelor of Architecture in Design in 1968, followed by higher education at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Urban and Regional Planning, in 1972. Upon graduation, he went on to practice architecture for over 45 years gaining diverse experience in Residential, Commercial, Medical, and Educational facilities in programming, planning, design, project management, and Architectural Services. His talents led him to work for several architectural firms and partnerships, including Project Manager of the School Board of Broward County and Principal Architect of his own practice in Boca Raton, Florida. Paul was a prominent architect in the community and embodied the “work hard” spirit being attentive to every detail. He valued and respected his clients and created a very personal, specific and intentional design for each one. He served as President for The Dary Organization and for The Centre of Boca Barwood Homeowners’ Association. He was the recipient of several Gold & Silver Key Awards for his excellence in outstanding home design.

Paul was a man who lived and loved well. He enjoyed singing for the Barbershop Quartet, attending services at Mishkan David Messianic Congregation, reading and studying scripture, swimming, sketching and painting in his spare time. Paul will be remembered by his infectious smile, sense of humor, love for Christ, and delightful serenades. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew him.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Luz of 35 years; his loving children Jeff, Russell, Paul Jr., Vanessa, and Priscilla; his brother Lloyd and sister Betty; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brothers John, Ronald, and Gene.
