Lorene Estelle (McCloskey) Schmidt

Mrs. Lorene E Schmidt (McCloskey) 77, of Boynton Beach Florida, beloved wife of the late Joseph Schmidt Jr., passed to be with our lord on Wednesday morning, September 21st, 2022, at Trust bridge Hospice Care in Boca Raton Florida.

Born in Bath Maine, She was the daughter of the late Lores McCloskey and June E. (MacDonald) (McCloskey) Connolly. Lorene was raised in Gloucester Massachusetts and was a graduate of Gloucester High School in 1963. She enjoyed her time in school and always kept those who gave their lives for our country during the Vietnam War in the forefront of her mind, as she attended school with many of these heroes.

Lorene proudly raised her family in Danvers Massachusetts and was employed at Triangle business service for many years, also working at Morton International in Danvers, and finally at Danvers Industrial Packaging in the purchasing area prior to her retirement. She was always well respected for her strong work ethic and her determination to get the job done right.

When she was not working, Lorene took great joy while tending to her garden while recognizing the new growth of each spring season. She tended to her garden like the people around her, with care, concern, and thoroughness. Lorene frequently spoke about learning about various vegetables and plants when she was a young lady walking the family garden with her grandfather Arthur; memories she always held dear to her heart. She was an animal lover who appreciated the unconditional love that was given to her by the animals that always found her. In her life she taught about the importance of getting back up when life knocks you down. She will be greatly missed.

Lorene is survived by her daughter Laura E. Dwyer of Boynton Beach Florida and her husband Keith, her son Joseph W. Schmidt and his wife Claudette of Nashua NH and her grandchildren, Julia and Jacob, and several cousins and relatives who she loved dearly.

SERVICES: Lorene's memorial service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the Schmidt residence, 21 Shawnee Drive Nashua NH 03062 and the Dwyer residence at 10 Atrium Circle Unit A, Atlantis Florida 33462.
