Livius Iosif Sacasan was born September 17, 1943 in Caransebes, Romania to very faithful parents.
He excelled in Mathematics and Physics in High School and College, graduating with two degrees: Electrical and Electrotechnical Engineering. He met his lifelong love Gina during college and were married soon thereafter.
Livius, Gina and their son Ovidiu emigrated to the United States in 1983, where he found work in his field. Florida Power and Light encompassed his main career, where he worked as a highly skilled instrument and controls specialist. He almost singlehandedly controlled the electricity output to Palm Beach County by making sure thousands of controls and instruments were operating properly.
Livius was a loving husband and father and father-in-law. Friends and family would always comment that he was always ready to help. Any of their electrical problems were no match for his ingenuity and problems were solved with a smile!
First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale was his home for almost 30 years where he managed the translation ministry. He also took part in the annual Christmas Pageant but most of all was passionate about the power of prayer for others...and his prayers made enormous differences in people's lives. Sponsoring an orphanage in Romania was also close to his heart. Many orphans received abundant help due to his diligent efforts over the course of 30 plus years.
Working out and studying the Bible were his other favorite hobbies as well as enjoying sweet treats of all sorts.
Livius leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, constant happiness as well as a giver of compassion and love to all the lives he touched.
You won't be forgotten Livius!
