Lavona Lee (Frasier) Hermes

Lavona “Lee” Hermes of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully on January 12, 2020. Her children were by her side as she left this world to join her family and friends in her heavenly home.

Lavona was born on May 31, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Irene Frasier. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Christian. She took pleasure in the women’s groups within the Lutheran church, and she especially enjoyed her involvement in the ladies quilting group at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Boca. She will be remembered for her love of entertaining, her fabulous holiday baked goods, which included her famous shortbread cookies, along with her quick wit and laughter. She was fun....always, and her phone calls are already missed terribly.

Lavona is survived by her daughter Susan (David) Patrona, son William (Cindy) Hermes, and grandchildren Nicholas (Stevi) Patrona, Eric Hermes, Matthew Hermes, Christopher Patrona and Scott Hermes as well as great grandchildren Maddy and Nicholas Patrona. She is also survived by her sisters Sharron Rutz and Lynn Rachwitz. Lavona was preceded in death by her loving husband William Hermes, and her sister Patricia Cirilli.

Her internment will be a private ceremony held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida and details are to be determined at a future date.
