Kevin P McMahon

Kevin McMahon, October 5, 1953 – March 12, 2023                                                                            

Kevin McMahon, a Florida resident of nearly 40 years, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2023. Kevin was raised in Mountain Lakes, NJ by a big, Irish-Catholic family. Kevin graduated from Mountain Lakes High School in 1973 and then went to his beloved University of Miami, graduating with a degree in Communications in 1977.  After a move to Texas to pursue acting in the 70’s, with an appearance in “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”, Kevin briefly returned to New Jersey to care for his ailing father before his passing. Kevin’s love of warm weather and the Miami Hurricanes moved him back to Florida, where he lived for the rest of his life. Kevin cared for his mother, Marylou McMahon, until her sudden passing at the age of 94 in December 2022.

Kevin’s love for the Miami Hurricanes is well known amongst his family and friends, and his dressing in game gear for football and basketball games brought smiles to many.

Kevin worked for Custom Plastics for 30 years before his retirement in 2019. There, he made lifelong friends who miss him dearly. Kevin loved driving his Mustang convertible, riding his bicycle, playing racquetball, going to the beach, and enjoying a cocktail or two.

Kevin was a great brother, and is survived by his brother, Douglas (“Teck”) McMahon and his wife Claudia of Montville, NJ, his sister, Honor Connell and her husband William of Roseland, NJ and West Palm Beach, FL, his brother Peter McMahon of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, and his brother, Timothy McMahon and his wife Kathy of St. Augustine, FL. Kevin was the best uncle and is survived by seven nieces and nephews, their children, spouses and countless friends, since to know Kevin was to love Kevin.
