Karen Vann Thrower, 58 years old of Boca Raton, FL, passed away at home with her family with her on Monday, November 29, 2021.
She worked at Publix over 15 years and worked for Martin's Potato Bread Company several years, then with News America Marking/Neptune Retail Service until she became ill with cancer in the summer of this year.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, having cookouts and holiday dinners together, playing cards and talking on the phone to special friends.
Her passion was caring for little ones and each one held a special place in her heart. Fiona, Logan, Madison, G, JoJo, Penelope, Kaysen, Jayce, Michael, and Bash.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Vann Sr. and her grandparents, Elijah and Nan Vann, and Lummie and Flora Harness.
Karen is survived by her husband, Little John Thrower; mother, Motlaney Cooke; children, Crystal Thrower and Michael Thrower; grandchildren, Michael Thrower Jr. and Jayce Thrower; siblings, Thomas Vann of Jonesborough, TN, Pamela Ramsey (Don) of Jonesborough, TN, Vickie Vess of Cocoa Beach, FL , Paul Vann Jr. (Veronica) of Boca Raton, FL; and several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Theresa Pryor of Tyler, Texas, Dolores Tucker of Boca Raton, FL and Susie Hawthorne of Coral Springs, FL.
Memorial gathering for Karen will be held on Saturday, December 4, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, with a memorial service starting at 6:00PM, at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, FL 33487.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's.
