Judith A (Zimnick) Petrone

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 Judith (Judy) Petrone, a resident of Boca Raton and south Florida since 1993 passed away in her sleep, 3 days after her late husband, Ettore Petrone passed away.  She was 82 years old.

Born and raised in West Orange, New Jersey, Judy was a homemaker and raised 3 children.  She enjoyed sewing and doing needlepoint in her earlier years.  Additionally, she loved cats and watching her husband serve as an usher at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Boca Raton.  She also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Miami Heat play.

She was the beloved wife to the late Ettore Petrone and devoted mother to Anthony Petrone (wife JoAnn) of Coral Springs, Joseph Petrone (wife Mary) of Boca Raton and Elizabeth Wheeler (husband Mark) also of Boca Raton.  Loving Grandmother of Anthony Petrone Jr., Dominic Petrone, Alexa Petrone, Conor Petrone, Matthew Petrone, Sarah Wheeler and Daniel Wheeler.  She is also survived by sisters, Virginia  Dynan of West Orange, New Jersey, Nancy Bergenty of Columbia, New Jersey and brother Dave Zimnick of Toms River, New Jersey as well as many nieces and nephews all who reside in New Jersey.

Her smile will be forever missed, her laughter; a beautiful memory and her love forever remembered.

The family of Judy Petrone wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Banyan Place Assisted Living in Boca Raton as well as Trustbridge Hospice Care for their excellence in their care for her in her final days.

A Funeral Mass will be offered for her and her husband at St. Jude’s Catholic Church located at 21689 Toledo Road, Boca Raton, FL 33433 pending date and time.
