Juan Diaz-Carvana Obituary

Juan Diaz-Carvana

Diaz-Carvana, Juan, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on February 22, 2023.

Johnny, as lovingly known, was born on September 28, 1929, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Aguadilla was his pride and love. He was an identical twin with unfettered love for his brother Manny who we so affectionately called Tio Negrito. Johnny’s love was unconditional for his children, grandchildren, his wife, Aida Diaz-Alonso, extended family and friends. He embraced life and life embraced him. Johnny had a passion for music and an operatic voice. To know him was to hear him sing. Johnny was passionate about baseball; he was a walking encyclopedia, and a die-hard New York Mets fan. Johnny loved his four children, raised them with dignity and respect and was determined that they had the same appreciation and love for Puerto Rico - its customs, traditions and language - as he did. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He will be so sorely missed by all those who knew him. Johnny is survived by his beloved daughters, Riquida and Elsa Milagros, his son-in-law Richard, his brother Manny, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his grandchildren Johnathan and Evita, great-grandchildren Samuel and Sofia, his nieces and nephews, his Angita, Jay, Eileen, Chary, Max, and his sweet boys Devin and MJ, and countless family and friends. He was a father to many.

A funeral service in memory of Johnny will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 12:30 pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 Fl-7, Lake Worth, Fl 33449.

Donations can be made to either "Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Southeast Florida Chapter" or the "Wounded Warrior Project."
