Ida (Paris) Ginopoulos

Ida Paris Ginopoulos, 88, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on July 7th 2021 surrounded by her family.    

Born September 25th 1932 in Springfield Massachusetts, she attended Commerce High School graduating in 1950.   She married in 1955.  She had two sons.   

While raising her children she became co-owner of Andy’s Very Best Ice Cream in Springfield.  After selling the business in 1982, she went back to school for Health Administration and in 1983 and received her degree. She then worked in the health care industry until moving to Florida in 1995 to be closer to her Son, Daughter in Law and granddaughters.  She continued to work in the health care administration until her retirement in 2007.   

Ida will be lovingly remembered by her son James Paris Ginopoulos, Daughter-in Law Donna Lee Ginopoulos, granddaughters Briana Maffetone and Stasia Ginopoulos, and goddaughters Ava Wills and Leah Melloni.   She is predeceased by her son Chris Michael Ginopoulos.

Visiting hours for Ida will be held on Tuesday 7/13/21 from 3pm to 5pm with a Trisagion service beginning at 4PM at Gary Panoch Funeral Home of Boca Raton after which she will be transported to Massachusetts.   

Family is receiving guests on Friday, July 16, at 9:30AM, at Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM, at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 22 St George Rd, Springfield, MA 01104.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay St, Springfield, MA 01109. She will be buried next to her son Chris.
