Henry Benjamin Herr

Henry Herr, 86, a resident of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on August 5, 2020.  His wife of almost 37 years is Carol Fricchione Herr.  
Born on August 7, 1933 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late J. Elvin Herr and the late Elizabeth Landis Herr.  He graduated from Solanco High School. Henry proudly served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1957. He had a thirty-three year career in management with IBM Corporation and retired in 1991.
He was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a friend to many.  He loved to travel, play golf, garden and was an avid reader.  He loved a good cigar, a good drink and a stimulating conversation. He loved being with his children and his grandchildren.  
Surviving in addition to his loving wife, are his children, Vincent Herr, Phoenixville, PA; Dennis Herr, Clearwater, FL; Vickie Herr and son-in-law, Jeffrey Metzger, Glenmoore, PA; and daughter, Andrea Vautier and partner, Jimmy Turner, Florida.  Also, his grandchildren, Hunter Herr, Cooper Herr, Spencer Herr, Lacey Herr, Grant Metzger, Chase Metzger, Colby Vautier, Skyler Vautier (Alyssa), Lexie Turner and great grandson, Jax.  He is also survived by his sisters, Lydia Mahabirsingh, Sarasota, FL; Ruth Moore, Quarryville, PA; Betty Lederman (Roger), Sarasota, FL; Mary White (Morris), Charleston, SC; his brothers, J. Carl Herr (Carolyn), Summerfield, FL; and Elvin (Pete) Herr (Dawn), Fort Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Gid Miller, Keith Mahabirsingh, Ralph Walls and Don Moore. 
A burial service will be held at a later date due to the coronavirus pandemic. Memorial contributions may be made in Henry’s name to the charity of your choice.
