Frank Di Salvo Jr
December 20, 1928 ~ January 8, 2024 (age 95) 95 Years Old
In Loving Memory of Frank Di Salvo Jr.
Frank Di Salvo Jr., born in 1928 in Bagheria, Sicily, peacefully departed from this world on January 8, 2024, at the wonderful age of 95. He was the eighth of the ten children of Francesco and Gelsomina Di Salvo. He was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters: Tom, Pasquale, Paul, Onofrio, Andrea, Pete, Antonette, and Filomena. Frank's heart remains forever connected to those who predeceased him, including his adored only son, Frank DiSalvo III (survived by wife Debbie Garcia), his late wife Carmela (who passed away in 1990), and second wife Marianne DiSalvo (who passed away in 2006).
Frank's legacy is a tapestry woven with threads of family, love, and faith. He leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him, including his cherished grandchildren, Frank Theodore, Carmela "CJ," and great-grandchild Gabrielle, his adoring younger sister, Mary Lafuente, and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Frank's journey through life led him from his hometown of Bagheria, Sicily in 1954, to the close-knit Sicilian community of Newburgh, New York, and finally to the welcoming family and warmth of Boca Raton in 1992. A man of unwavering dedication and hard work, Frank's character was defined by his tireless efforts as a tile worker, often laboring for 16 hours a day. His tenacity and sacrifice were a testament to the profound love he held for his family.
Frank quickly became endeared to every individual he met, touching them with his big heart and warm spirit. His smile was contagious. Known for his kind and friendly personality, Frank never missed an opportunity to express his gratitude.
A devout man of faith, Frank maintained a strong relationship with the Lord throughout his life. His commitment to spirituality was evident in his daily trips to mass at Ascension Church and his many years of service as an usher at St. Joan of Arc Church. Frank's unwavering faith served as a source of strength and an example to all those around him.
Frank Di Salvo Jr. would want to be remembered for the values he held most dear – family and faith. He believed that these were the building blocks of a well-lived life. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us carry forward the lessons he imparted and look forward to the day when we will be reunited again in Heaven.
Because of the importance Frank placed on education, and In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing an educational trust fund for his great-grandchild, Gabrielle Lombardo. Please contact his niece, Toni Leidy, firstname.lastname@example.org, if you are interested in contributing.
Family will receive friends Friday January 12, 2024 4-8pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 13, 2024, 11am at Ascension Catholic Church.
