Charles S Grigorian

Charles S. Grigorian, 86, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away March 4, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Born May 19, 1934, Charlie, as he was affectionately called, attended Central Connecticut State University and later Columbia University in New York City, where he earned a Masters Degree in Education. Charlie retired from the State of Connecticut in 1989, where he spent nearly 35 years as a leader in the Connecticut Vocational Education system. A visionary administrator and instructor, Charlie established a network of vocational schools specializing in advanced technology. He culminated his career as the Vice Principal of Wilcox Tech in Meriden Connecticut, where he also served as a Teacher’s Union Leader.

Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Donna of nearly 63 years. His children, Gary of Hampton, Virginia, Karen of New Milford, Connecticut, Cindy of Delray Beach, Florida, and his beloved niece Heidi of Kensington, Connecticut. Charlie will also be forever remembered by his daughter in law, Terry Grigorian, Sons in Law Geoff Graham of Delray Beach Florida and Pete Valenti of New Milford Connecticut, and Steve Lupini of Kensington, CT. Charlie was also adored by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews — Megan, Kelsey, Kate, Jordan, Casey, Taylor, Peter, Alison, Kevin, April, Douglas, Annette, and grand nephew Bryan. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Sargis and Lucy Grigorian of Berlin, Connecticut and his sisters Margaret Depoian, Violet Grigorian, and May Ambat of Florida, and his nephew Danny.

A celebration of Charlie’s life was held in Delray Beach Florida on March 6. Donations in Charlie’s memory may be made to Hospice (Trustbridge) of Palm Beach County, Florida.
