Amanda Vincenty

Amanda Vincenty, 87, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 with her son at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 45 years, Gustavo Vincenty.

Born September 5, 1932 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, she was a brave woman who came to this country to start a new life at the age of 19. She met and married her husband in 1959 and began her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and every family member, and numerous friends as well, remember the clothing she made for herself and for them. She loved to read and a crossword or word search puzzle was never far away. She loved anything miniature and accumulated quite a collection of tiny things, including cups, statues, animals - you name it.

All who knew her will remember how much she loved to cook and to entertain. She loved to cook and would happily feed an army, the more the better. She gathered an amazing array of friends who became her extended family.

Amanda is survived by her son, Gustavo Vincenty; daughter-in-law, Lori Vincenty; grandchildren, Samantha Vincenty, Anthony Vincenty and Amanda Vincenty; and great grand children, Dominic and Arianna. She is also survived by an extensive family of friends for whom she was a surrogate mother or grandmother.

Family will receive friends, Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m. at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL (561) 997-8580. The service will be live-streamed with a link that will be made active on this page starting at 1:30.
