Levy, Albert H.
Age 95, passed away January 23, 2019 at Sonata Assisted Living and Memory Care, Boca Raton, FL, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Moses and Edna (Simons) Levy. He grew up in Boston and in Brookline, and graduated from Brookline High School. Mr. Levy was a WWII veteran, serving as an Army medic in the European Theater. He worked for newspaper circulation departments, including the Boston Post, the Record-American and the Boston Herald. Mr. Levy enjoyed being a member of the Boston Lodge of Elks No. 10, and lived in West Roxbury until moving to Boca Raton in 2016. Mr. Levy was predeceased by his 2nd wife, Helen Assner Levy, nee DePrisco. He leaves his daughter, Marsha Levy, of Boca Raton, FL, and a nephew, Leonard Assner of Franklin, MA and his family. He is also survived by his 1st wife, Eleanore M. Levy, of Boca Raton, FL, mother of his child. He also leaves a sister, and several nieces and cousins from his extended family. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 28, 2019, 11:15am at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL.
