William "Billy" Ecroyd, 77, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on December 25, 2015. Billy is survived by his fiancé, Debbie Waverla; three daughters Karin Ecroyd, Kathy Roberts and Kristen Gillispie; grandchildren Erica Roberts, Rachel Roberts, Brandon Gillispie, Devon Ecroyd and a grandson due in February; and siblings Richard Ecroyd, Robert Ecroyd, Mary Catherine Ecroyd-Berry, Eileen Hobbs, and Kevin Ecroyd. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Angela Ecroyd.

Billy was a loving partner, father, grandfather and friend. His sense of humor was his trade-mark and he
kept it with him until his final moments.  Billy was fortunate to retire early from his  career in New York as an electrical contractor and I.B.E.W. union member to live full-time at his second home in Delray Beach, Florida where he loved the weather and ability to golf year-round. It is here that he met Debbie and wrote the second chapter of his life.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 9 at Ascension Catholic Church, 7250 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33487. Rev. Gavin Badway will be officiating. A repass will immediately follow at the clubhouse at Tropic Bay Condominium, 2801 Florida Blvd., Delray Beach, Florida 33483. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ascension Church in his memory at the address above or to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (www.michaeljfox.org).
