Wendy J. Hawkinson, 72, of Casselberry, Florida passed away in Delray Beach, FL on December 19, 2022. Born on December 30, 1949, in Caracas, Venezuela, Wendy was musically active from a young age. She attended Boston's Berklee College of Music where she majored in Composition and graduated cum laude in 1980 with a Bachelor of Music. Returning to Venezuela Wendy became active in the music scene. She toured extensively as musical director/keyboardist for with several artists. Ms. Hawkinson participated in many international festivals representing Venezuela as arranger and conductor. She wrote the music for musicals; composed, arranged, produced and published dozens of albums for various artists. Later, Wendy moved to the Orlando, FL area, and began writing arrangements for symphony orchestra and string orchestra, rounding off her career as Professor of Sound and Music Technology at Valencia College for 20 years.
Wendy will remembered by her sisters Linda (Jan) VanGehuchten of Sarver, PA and Nancy Hawkinson of Delray Beach, FL; her half-sister Marta (Arnold) Smith of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
and her nephews and niece. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Jeannette (Druhe) Hawkinson and half-brother Lance Hawkinson.

A memorial will be held for Wendy on Saturday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gary Panoch Funeral Home & Cremations, 6140 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL (561) 997-8580
