McCarthy, Timothy W, 87, Delray Beach, FL passed away March 19, 2021. Born July 15, 1933 in Erie, Pa, Tim graduated from Colgate University in 1956. He married his soulmate, Nancy Shaner in 1955. He served in the US Army in Germany and started his career at IBM in 1957. Tim and his family lived in Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Poughkeepsie, NY and Mobile, AL while working with IBM before settling in Boca Raton, FL in 1974 and eventually to Harbourside in Delary Beach, FL in 2002. After retirement from IBM, Tim and his business partner opened the first Irish Pub in the area, The Blarney Stone in Boca Raton, now known as The Duck. Tim loved his family, boating, fishing and was well known for his annual Christmas Boat Parade Parties at his intracoastal home in Boca Raton. He was predeceased by his son Timothy Shane in 2011, parents William and Ruth McCarthy and sister Donna Morgan.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife and caretaker, Nancy and  two daughters, Karen and her husband Michael Muccio (who moved from California to care for their parents one year ago) and Lynn and her husband Anthony Pringle of Mobile Alabama.  His legacy also includes his grandchildren Michael and his wife Francesca Muccio, Megan and her husband Ryan Partridge, Tony and his wife Jessica Pringle and Amanda Pringle also 7 great grandchildren Tatum, Cooper,Ty, Edie, Conner, Haley and AJ.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am, April  21, 2021 at the Ascension Catholic Church, Boca Raton. Burial with military honors will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL following the funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers- donations in Tim's name to Trustbridge Hospice or Alzheimer's of Palm Beach County.
