Susan Parker (Price) of Boca Raton, FL, died quietly, surrounded by her family, on June 25, 2016. She was 82. Susan was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Dayton, to Harry and Pauline Price. She grew up in Dayton, graduating from Fairview High School in 1951. She attended Stevens College in Columbia, Mo., and traveled with the school to Europe to pursue her love of art. She went on to graduate from Florida Southern College in Lakeland in May 1960. Susan loved golf and married Bill Parker, a professional golfer, in 1962. After a couple of years on the PGA tour, Bill and Susan settled in Joplin, Mo., where they owned and operated a golf shop for more than 18 years. They retired to South Florida in 1988. Susan was predeceased by her siblings Harry Price Jr., Margaret Deeboch and Gayle Price. She is survived by her brother Tom Price of Dallas; daughter Patricia Nielsen of Boca Raton, FL; son Robert Parker of West Palm Beach, FL; and grandchildren Brian and Jane Nielsen. A small private service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Dayton. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
