Severine G. Leoffler Jr., 97, died on April 8, 2014 at home in Deerfield Beach, FL. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 77 years, Grace. He is survived by his two loving children: Gloria (William) Finagin of Annapolis, MD, Severine George III (Antonia), grandchildren: Sandra, Grace, Bruce, Bill, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Born in Washington, DC he owned Riverside Stadium Roller Rink and later joined with his family in operating the five public golf courses in Washington, DC. In 1962 he purchased Southern Manor Country Club in Boca Raton, FL and operated it as a public course until his retirement in 1984. A devoted Christian, Severine lived his faith as a loving, kind and generous man, devoted to his family and dearly loved by all. Family will receive friends, Mon., April 14, 10-11am with an 11am service at First United Methodist Church, 625 NE Mizner Blvd., Boca Raton. Severine will be buried next to his wife Grace in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church or Hospice by the Sea.
