Biography

Sam Coppola passed away on March 14, 2013 in Boca Raton, FL at the age of 82. Sam was born and raised in Stamford, CT. He graduated from Fordham University and then joined the Marine Corps and became a First Lieutenant. Sam's passion for sports will always be remembered by his family and friends. He played football with the Golden Bears, baseball with the Twilight League, and enjoyed working with young athletes in the Sam Coppola Baseball League. Sam is survived by his wife Millie of 50 years, his children and their spouses, Sam Coppola Jr., Tom Coppola and Petrina Orecchio and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Michael Coppola, his wife and his niece Debbie.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made in Sam's honor to Little League Baseball, Inc. – Challenger Division Attn: CFO 539 U.S. Route 15 Highway P.O. Box 3485 Williamsport, PA 17701-0485.

A military burial at sea with full honors will be held. Family and friends are invited to attend mass at St Cecilia 1184 Newfield Ave. on Sunday, March 24th at 9:00am.
