Roger P. MacGilvray, Sr. 82,passed away on September 10, 2011 in Delray Beach, FL. He was formerly from Long Island NY, North Conway NH, Poughkeepsie NY, Boca Raton FL, and Blairsville GA. He was born in Staatsburg, New York on 12/01/1928.He proudly served in the US Navy from 1946-1949. He was employed by IBM for 25 years before he retired to the North Georgia mountains. He loved nature, was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He was predeceased by MaryLou Parker MacGilvray, his wife of 60 years. He will be deeply missed by daughters Colleen MacGilvray, Alice Kemp (Billy), Eileen Jones (Donnie), and son Roger MacGilvray Jr. (Jessie), 6 grand-children and 5 great-grandchildren. Following cremation, there will be a Military Burial Service and internment at the VA Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. on Friday, September 16th at 11:00AM.. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the National Alzheimer's Association.
