Robert James Buscemi "Bob", 57, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on October 30, 2023. Bob was born on June 29, 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He moved to Florida in 1977  and lived there the rest of his life. He attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL and The University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. He earned a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Psychology. He became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working in Jacksonville, FL and then Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Bob loved running and he was an avid outdoorsman. He competed in many marathons and triathalons. He enjoyed rock climbing and hiking. Most recently he hiked part of the Appalachian Trail with his Life Partner Sylvia Pineda.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his children; Grace Leatherman (Jacob), Bridgette McVay (Jeremiah), Lindsay McVay, Samantha McVay, Shelby Buscemi and Marc Buscemi, his sweet grandson, Jasper, his Life Partner and caretaker, Sylvia Pineda, his brother Andrew Buscemi, sister, Jodi Walker and numerous other family members and friends.
A Living Tribute in Bob's name will be set up to honor his life and his love for the Appalachian Trail. If you wish to donate, the proceeds will go to planting a beautiful tree in his name on this trail that he so loved. The link to Bob's life tribute will be posted soon.
