Obituary

Robert "Bob" C. Legat II, 68, of Delray Beach, FL passed away December 26, 2023 in hospice at Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, FL Born: May 13, 1954 in New Britain, CT, Bob is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Anne Herr of Belmont, MA.  He was predeceased by his father, Milton F.W. Legat, Mother Delena M. Legat and brothers William F. Legat and Douglas J. Hawk.

Bob was born and raised in New Britain, Connecticut before moving to Wallingford and graduating from Sheenan High School. In the mid 80's he moved to Delray Beach, FL with his family. Bob was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for forty years! In his spare time, he loved meeting new people wherever he went, especially as a Ham Radio Operator. Call sign: KE4HLL He worked in sales for most of his adult life. Upon moving to Florida, he started working for Sherwin Williams and then transitioned on to work at Porter Paint and MAB Paints. In his final years of working, he was a driver and customer greeter for T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home in Plantation as well as working part time for Gary Panoch Funeral Home in Boca Raton, FL before retiring.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, 11am at Ascension Catholic Church.

In Lieu of flowers, please donate to help Bob get to his final resting place within his family plot in Connecticut. All donations in memory of Bob may be made to Gary Panoch Funeral Home.
