Rita Snow

Rita Snow, 97, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed peacefully into the Lord's care on July 1, 2026.

Born on July 28, 1928, in Orange, New Jersey, Rita was the cherished daughter of Michael and Carmela (Cozza) Girone. She spent many years in Wayne, New Jersey, before making Boca Raton her home over 40 years ago.

Rita lived a life defined by creativity, generosity, and devotion to her family. In her younger years, she enjoyed a successful career as a children's clothing designer in New York City's renowned Garment District, where her artistic talents and eye for detail flourished. She later dedicated countless hours volunteering with the hospital auxiliary in New Jersey, always finding meaningful ways to serve others.

After relocating to South Florida, Rita became an active member of the Boca Raton Garden Club. She found great joy in playing bridge, traveling, sewing, and expressing her love through handcrafted gifts. One of her most heartfelt acts of kindness was knitting hats for children undergoing cancer treatment, bringing comfort and warmth to countless young patients.

To those who knew her best, Rita will always be remembered as an exceptional cook whose kitchen was filled with the aromas of homemade meals and the laughter of loved ones gathered around her table. Above all, she treasured her family, whose love and happiness were the center of her life.

Rita is lovingly survived by her son, Arthur (Marianne) Snow; her grandson, Dr. Nicholas (Eileen Kunkler) Snow; along with extended family members and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Frederick Snow, and her beloved grandson, Sgt. Andrew Snow.

A private interment will take place at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida, where Rita will be laid to rest beside her devoted husband, reunited once again after a lifetime of love and companionship.

Rita's legacy of kindness, compassion, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
