Richard "Dick" Fetters

Dick Fetters, 84, of Pompano Beach, Florida passed away on November 16th, 2023.

Dick and his twin brother Robert were born March 15, 1939 to Walter and Ann Fetters in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. After attending Valley Forge Military Academy, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami.  Following that, he served five years with the United States Marine Corps.

Dick met the love of his life, Ann Duffy, in Somers Point, New Jersey, one miraculous summer in 1968. They were married for 55 years and had five children.

Dick was passionate about helping people and pursued a successful career as a Behavioral Health Case Manager.  While he advised many adults in crisis, a majority of his efforts facilitated support for adolescents with mental health or substance abuse issues.

Sharp-witted, inspiring and affectionate, he had an incredible ability to make everyone smile and laugh in his presence.  Dick was an avid golfer and a devout Catholic. He is forever remembered by his five children: Dan, Sean, Mary, James, Sarah and his ten grandchildren.  He is survived by his sister, Donna Pierson, and lovingly remembered by a large circle of family and friends. We are comforted that Dick is now reunited with Ann in heaven.

The funeral mass service will be held on Monday, November 27th, at 11am at St. Coleman's Catholic Church, Pompano Beach, FL. Donations may be made to the National Association of Children of Addiction .
