Phyllis Hannagan, née Bozykowski, passed away on March 19, 2025 in Boca Raton, FL. Phyllis is survived by her two sons; Roger (Laura,) Russell, daughter Debra (Glen) Garbenis, three grandchildren; Christopher, Adrianna, Jaden Garbenis, step-granddaughter Triana McNair, two nieces, four nephews, many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Herbert Hannagan, sister Evelyn and brother-in-law Frank "Bucky" Heiderman, as well as her daughter-in-law Sonia Hannagan.

Phyllis was born in Perth Amboy General Hospital and grew up in Carteret, NJ. She and her husband also lived in Westfield, NJ while working in New York City for WR Grace and traveling extensively as an Assistant Buyer for the company, eventually relocating to Boca Raton, FL. Before and after retirement, Phyllis and Herb were world travelers. They travelled by trains, planes and ships all over the globe. She enjoyed gardening, particularly her prized roses and orchids. Phyllis received gratification from volunteering for many years at the Debbie Rand Thrift Shop and adored her co-workers there.

Phyllis was known for her culinary talents in the kitchen. She hosted many holidays with her scrumptious meals and mouth-watering desserts. She and Herb enjoyed entertaining their friends at dinner parties, restaurants or just getting together with wine, a deck of cards just laughing and talking until the wee hours. Phyllis shard the same sense of humor as her husband Herb and they were blessed with a long life of love and happiness.

Phyllis will be remembered with love and greatly missed by her entire family, loads of friends as well as her fellow residents of the Veranda Club and Knob Hill Communities.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 26, 2025, 1-4pm with a 4pm funeral service at the funeral home.
