IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Edward
Taylor Iii
May 19, 1955 – November 10, 2022
Paul Edward Taylor III
Taylor, Paul, 67, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by family, at home on November 10, 2022.
Born May 19, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pa., Paul paved his own way in life. He graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. in History and attended the NYU Stern School of Business. Paul worked for over 30 years in the field of commercial real estate financing in New York City. He and his wife Tracy raised their three children in Manhattan, New York. Paul fiercely loved his family and animals. He was passionate about music, sports, and cooking, and was a prolific reader of literature, history, political science, economics, psychology, and Christian spirituality.
Later in life, Paul and Tracy moved to Florida where he graduated with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University. Paul co-founded Addison House in Boynton Beach, Fl., which provides transitional housing to men recovering from substance misuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. He also worked as a counselor at Lifeskills South Florida and became a master in group work. Paul was able to transform his personal struggles into meaningful work with others. He was described by his coworkers, and clients as wise, and generous. He embodied the healing power of connection through recovery and was ever the student in his most recent pursuit of becoming a licensed therapist.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 37 years, Tracy Brod Taylor, his children Mary Kate of New York City, Natalie of Delray Beach, Fl. (Joseph Elmo), and Paul Edward Taylor IV of Miami Beach, Fl. (Carolina Rodriguez), his future granddaughter, his brothers, Joseph (Hilary), Keith, Alec (Karan), Henry (Madeleine), and Charles (Lenneth), his sister Martha (Joseph), and his stepmother Anne Cote Taylor. Paul is predeceased by his father Paul Edward Taylor, Jr., and his mother Ann Marie Somers Taylor.
