Paul H. Barber, age 86, of Delray Beach FL, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, teacher, and mentor, Paul spent his life inspiring others and had been a proud resident of South Florida in his later years.

He is survived by his former wife, Patricia Barber Orange, CT; his children, Colleen Barber, Spouse Liz O'Neil of Boxford MA, Glenn Barber of Seattle WA; Kimberly Barber of Black Mountain, NC; Kristie Barber of Essex, CT and his two adored grandsons, Dylan Barber and Danny Barber (Colleen's sons), who were the light of his life. Paul is also remembered fondly by many extended family members, former students, and close friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Barber.

A passionate professional, life coach and lifelong learner, Paul ran Junior Achievement in Bridgeport, Connecticut for many years, helping countless young people discover their potential. Later in life, he led Human Potential Seminars, where he empowered others to grow and reflect. As a substitute teacher, Paul was lovingly known as "Mr. B" or "Papi"—a true grandfather figure to the Highland school community of West Palm Beach. His warmth, humor, and gift for connection left a lasting impression on every student and teacher he met.

Paul was endlessly curious with a great wit. He spent his life studying self-help and personal development materials, and his life's work was writing a book on thinking—exploring what he called the "layers and levels of thinking." Teaching and coaching came naturally to him; he loved helping others uncover insight and possibility.

Above all, Paul cherished his family. He was deeply proud of his children and found immeasurable joy in being a grandfather. He will be remembered for his wisdom, his gentle guidance, and his unwavering belief in human potential.

His memorial mass will be held at St Josephs Episcopal church in Boynton Beach, FL on July 20th 2025 at 2pm. Please join us to celebrate Paul's life.
