1933-2024

Patricia Ann Tone, 91, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 27, 2024, fourteen years to the date of the passing of her beloved husband, Donald.

Born June 13, 1933, in Allentown Pennsylvania, Patricia earned her Registered Nursing accreditation at Atlantic City Hospital School of Nursing which propelled her into a rewarding and recognized career most notably serving as the Chief Surgical Nurse at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.  She later graduated summa cum laude from Jersey City State College (now New Jersey City University) with a dual degree in Nursing and Public Health.

In addition to dedicating her days to the care of others and her Roman Catholic faith, Patricia had a real zest for life and adventure. She was an avid traveler, reader and holiday decorator, with a sharp sense of humor and style. She is already dearly missed as the family's stronghold and role model, and for the joy she brought to the world around her.

Patricia will be remembered with affection and admiration by her loving children; Florence, Bernadette (Tommy), Donald (Cathleen), Thaddeus, predeceased Lenore, and doting grandchildren; Anna, Linnea, Yale, Thoreau, Vienna, Sophia, Meagan, Maggie and Patrick.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Patricia will be held on Tuesday, December 17, at 11:00 am at Ascension Church, 7250 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida. Burial will be held at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages charitable donations to the ALS Association as an expression of sympathy, an organization supporting a beloved family member for whom Patricia prayed for daily.
