IN LOVING MEMORY OF
P. Josephine
Richards
August 13, 1923 – April 23, 2011
Our Mom was a loyal devoted wife, a wonderful Aunt, and a relentless worker. But most of all she was the most caring of Mothers. She had single mindedness of purpose. Her reason for living was her children. Every action was for Joni and I (Vinny.) She constantly thought of us, supported us and saved for us. Everything was always for her kids. We are so fortunate to have had her love and devotion for all our lives. We also were equally as fortunate to be there to take care of her when it was our turn to reverse the roles. How lucky we were to be there at the end of her journey.
My mom was always early for everything! I don't think she was ever late once in her life for anything. If you told her 7PM, she would be there at 6. Her Christmas cards were ready to go in August. Birthday presents were given a month early. If you left a restaurant she would pull out her keys for her house when we were an hour away!
So, typically she was early for her funeral. Mom arrived at this moment 2 weeks ago and hung on. She was so tough!
I really believe that she will be going to a better place. Her quality of life for the last year has been terrible and as she always said if it ever got to that "shoot me."
So Mom gets to be reunited with her husband and our Dad Frank who died 25 years ago.
We miss her already! As Mom always said, "The line is getting shorter."
We love you Mom!
