Maura Chipa of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on Sunday August 8th, 2021 at the age of 77. Maura was born in Peru to Sabina Contreras and Jose Chipa.  She had resided in NJ before moving to Florida. Maura was very spiritual and traveled across the world doing missionary work, before becoming an active member at Emmanuel Church and active volunteer with Catholic Charities of Palm Beach.  She was selfless, kind, devoted to God and always there to help others. Maura enjoyed her mission work, cooking, helping others and spending time with her family, specially her grandchildren.  She will always be remembered as friendly, outgoing, full of energy and her sweet smile.

She is survived by her beloved children; Pilar Diaz, Ruth (Bryon) Morlock, Gabriel Diaz, former husband Jose Diaz, brothers Sato (Clotilde) Chipa, Teofilo (Bernadine) Chipa, grandchildren; Gavin Diaz and Taylor Diaz. Maura was predeceased by her sister Celia Chipa. Family will receive friends Friday, August 13, 2021, 9-11am at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August 13, 2021, 12pm noon at Emmanuel Catholic Church, Delray Beach, FL. Burial will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.
