It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Theresa Withka, age 75, of Atlantis, FL and Exeter NH, who passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024. Mary was born on April 17, 1949, in Brooklyn, NY, to James and Gertrude Ahern.

Mary leaves behind her beloved husband of 32 years, Tom, and their loving children: Thomas, Brian (Cheryl), Colleen (Keith) Symanski, and Meghan (Thomas) Dyer. She was also the cherished grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

A member of the Lost City Golf Club and Palm Beach Yacht Club, Mary was known for her appreciation of history and refined things. Her interests were as varied as they were vibrant, including golf, theatre shows, reading, cooking, entertaining, swimming, and taking cruises. She had a particular fondness for traveling, with Bermuda being her favorite destination.

Mary's laughter, humor, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She was an elegant lady, who enjoyed the company of people, the beauty of life, and the joy of ensuring everyone around her was happy. Even in challenging times, Mary never complained and faced life with grace and resilience.

Mary was a caring, charitable person who supported many causes.  Some of the numerous charities she supported included breast cancer research, Jimmy Fund for children's cancer, St Vincent Du Paul, St Vincent Seminary, Covenant House, Catholic Outreach programs, support for a teenage girl in the Philippines through Unbound, and Catholic Charities of both Palm Beach and New Hampshire.

In celebration of Mary's life, a Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11 am at Ascension Catholic Church. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments they shared with her forever.
