Mary Patricia Steuber, known as Patti, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, August 22, 2022.

Born in Covington, Kentucky, she is predeceased by her father, John F. Steuber, her mother, Mary C. McDermott Steuber, and her daughter, Molli Licata Serrano.  She is survived by her life partner, Kevin M. LaMontagne, of Delray Beach, Florida; her son, Frederic M. Licata, of Plantation, Florida; her daughter, Nicole Licata Kantis (husband, Dean Kantis), of Saint Johns, Florida; her three grandchildren, Nicholas Serrano, Isabella Serrano, and Preston Kantis; her three sisters and brother, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, other family members, and friends.

Patti moved to South Florida in 1959 at the age of 8.  She attended Cresthaven Elementary School in Pompano Beach and then St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Pompano Beach, from where she graduated in 1965.  She attended all four years at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from where she graduated as part of the Class of 1969.  She worked as an administrator at Florida Atlantic University for a short time before commencing her career as a paralegal, which lasted more than 35 years.

Patti especially enjoyed relaxation and adventure at her log cabin home in Blue Ridge, Georgia, and she loved music and nature.  She was a bright light to all, particularly her family and friends who knew her best.  Even in light of her battle with cancer during the last 2 ½ years of her life, she was always cheerful and positive.  She constantly found things to laugh about, and those dearest to her will always remember her oft repeated saying, "It could be worse."

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden South, in Davie, Florida, in a private service.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee.
