Obituary

Marta Guerra, 89, passed away at home on April 7, 2025, accompanied by loved ones. Marta was born in 1936 in Santiago, Chile and had 7 brothers and sisters, 2 of whom predeceased her. She moved to the United States in 1972, with her husband and three children. The family settled in Tenafly, New Jersey and later moved to Boca Raton, Florida.

Marta was a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of Ascension Parish in Boca Raton.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Eduardo, her daughter Marta Guerra (Robert), her sons Eduardo Guerra (Paulina) and Pablo Guerra (Denise), ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gonzalo and Jose Francisco and is survived by two brothers Juan de Dios and Pedro Pablo and three sisters, Monica, Rosa and Paulina.

She will be greatly missed by those who had the opportunity to know her.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton FL 33487 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Monday, April 14, 2025. Funeral Mass will follow at Ascension Catholic Church at 7250 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487 at 3:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date, in Santiago, Chile.
