Lucien J. Dufresne, Jr passed away at home at the age of 89 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Born in Meriden, Connecticut, Lu was the third of ten siblings. A son of the late Lucien and Isabelle (Rancourt) Dufresne.

Lucien served in the U.S. Army as an X-Ray Technician, blending technical precision with care and commitment, both during his service and throughout his long professional career. He met the love of his life, Maureen Webb, while serving in Kansas. They shared an unwavering love for 62 years. After the military, Lucien continued in the same field, working as the head of the X-Ray Department at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. He dedicated decades to helping others in the medical field and retired for the second time at the age of 85 from Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida. Being part of a large family instilled a hard-work ethic both in his professional and family life that was passed on to his children.

Lucien and Maureen raised their family in upstate New York and enjoyed boating, swimming and camping on Lake George. They vacationed in Florida annually and eventually relocated to Boca Raton, Florida to enjoy life in the sunny climate. Lu was extremely well read across many topics, but he especially favored history publications. He and Maureen enjoyed traveling and passed on that joy to their family.

Lu is pre-deceased by his wife and eldest daughter, Luanne. He leaves behind his youngest daughter Shari, her two sons Devin and Dillon; Luanne's children Kalee (Chad), Danielle (Jarod), Jessica and Sarah; as well as a stepdaughter, 5 siblings, great grandchildren and many extended family members. He also leaves behind his beloved 19-year-old cat, Bengie.

In keeping with his wishes, no formal services are planned. Those who know Lucien are invited to honor him in their own way.
