Lloyd Edward Clark was born on May 15, 1940, in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Lloyd and Alice Clark. He died on December 6, 2011 in Boca Raton, Florida. Lloyd passed away in the company of his beloved wife of 40 years, Doris Naomi Clark. He was pre-deceased by his son, Bruce Clark, and is survived by his other four children; Brian Clark, Lynn Yurashus, Pamela Curry, Kaci Zerbe and his brothers, Leonard and Dale Clark. Lloyd will also be remembered lovingly by his nine grandchildren. In addition to being an accomplished musician, Lloyd had a distinguished military career. He enlisted in the U.S Army after graduation from high school and was later selected to attend Officer Candidate School where he graduated third in his class. He also achieved Airborne status and served as a commanding officer during the Dominican Conflict. He went on to serve his country during the Vietnam War as an officer assigned to Army Intelligence where he was decorated with the Bronze Star. Post war, he received his bachelor's degree in business from Westminster College. He retired as a Major with twenty years of service. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family boating, hiking, fishing and playing pinochle. Lloyd loved God, his family, and his country. He felt blessed to spend the final weeks of his life surrounded by his family. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday, December 10th at the west campus of the First United Methodist Church, 9087 West Glades Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33434. A military burial will be held on Monday, December 12th, 9:00 am at South Florida VA National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7; Lake Worth, Florida.
