Biography

Mr. Lionel Louis Patenaude, age 95, passed away on April 18, 2014 in Delray Beach, Florida.
He was born in Lowell on May 18, 1918 the son of the late Louis and Regina (Vachon) Patenaude of Lilley Avenue.
He was the husband of the late Rolande (Marion) Patenaude and father of Marc L. Patenaude and his wife Patricia Patenaude.
During most of his 70 years in Lowell he resided on Lupine Road and was a member of the former St. Louis de France Church.
He served in the US Navy during World War II where he acquired skills in the early developing days of refrigeration.
He went on to become a Professional Engineer in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He culminated his career with the ownership of the Westinghouse Environmental Corporation.
During his retirement in Delray Beach Florida he became an avid tennis player.
Besides his son and daughter-in-law he is survived by many nieces, nephews and their children.
A private family ceremony will be held at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford.
