IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Ann
Hamby
August 31, 1953 – December 16, 2024
Linda Ann Hamby, lovingly known as Ann and "Mimi" to her cherished grandchildren, passed away peacefully in Boynton Beach, Florida, on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 71.
Born on August 31, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Frankie Hamby. She spent much of her life in Dallas, where she worked in quality assurance of medical claims, a career that reflected her meticulous nature and dedication to excellence.
In 2014, Ann made the heartfelt decision to relocate to South Florida to be closer to her son, Jacob, and her newborn granddaughter, Sydney. It was in Florida that Ann's love for family blossomed into an ever-deepening joy. She delighted in crafting, cooking, baking, and creating precious memories with her loved ones.
Ann was renowned for her culinary talents, with family and friends treasuring her iconic recipes. Her chicken spaghetti, beef tenderloin, twice-baked potatoes, and holiday fudge became symbols of her love and warmth. These recipes, much like her legacy, will continue to be a source of comfort and connection for her family.
Ann's vibrant sense of humor, her boundless warmth, and her deep, unwavering love for those she held dear defined her life. She brought light and laughter wherever she went and will forever be remembered for the joy she infused into the lives of her family and friends.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Jacob (Dawn) of Boca Raton, FL, and Brian (Jennifer) of Fort Worth, TX; her adored grandchildren, Sydney of Boca Raton, Coleman of Boynton Beach, Lindsay of Fort Worth, and Christian and Jordan of College Station, TX. She is also survived by her devoted partner, Deborah Charlton of Boynton Beach, FL, and her siblings, Keith and Brenda of Dallas, TX.
A memorial service to celebrate Ann's remarkable life will be arranged by her family at a later date.
In honoring Ann's memory, her family invites loved ones to gather in their own kitchens, cook a favorite recipe of hers, and reflect on the warmth, love, and laughter she brought into their lives.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
