Lillian Baez, a beloved resident of Deerfield Beach, FL, passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on October 23, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, Lillian lived a life marked by love, compassion, and unwavering integrity.
Lillian dedicated many years of her life to serving as a retired accountant for the City of New York Health Department. Her commitment to her work was surpassed only by her dedication to her family, whom she cherished above all else. She is survived by her loving sons, Andrew and John, who meant the world to her.
In addition to her sons, Lillian leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Andrew II, Alex-Marie, John Jr, Ryan, Blake, and her great-grandchildren John III and Lincoln . Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive.
Beyond her professional accomplishments and familial roles, Lillian was known for her vibrant spirit and diverse interests. An avid card player, she found joy and camaraderie in the game, forming lasting friendships along the way. She also had a passion for knitting and gardening, finding solace and creativity in these activities.
Above all else, Lillian will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering honesty. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth and genuine care. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Lillian's passing leaves a void in the lives of her family and friends, but her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were blessed to have shared in her life. May she rest in peace, knowing that she leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will endure for generations to come.
Family will receive friends Thursday, February 15, 2024, 9am to 12pm noon at the funeral home. A funeral mass will follow at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach, FL.
