Laura Golden, 89 who resided at 18841 Haywood terrace in Boca Raton, Florida died on 2/19/19 at 4 a.m. Tillie and Samuel Gugliotta, gave birth to Laura Gugliotta on 10 /5/1929 in the Bronx, New York. Laura was an exceptional student and graduated Roosevelt High School in 1947. On the first day of school in 1940, she saw the love of her life Harold Golden and decided at age 12 who her husband was going to be. Laura and Harold were married in 1948 until Harold's death on 2/2/16. Laura worked as an office manager for various orthopedic surgeons including Mickey Mantle's in the Bronx and on Long island in Massapequa. Laura was instrumental in starting an organization called meaningful alternatives to drugs in the early 70s because in her opinion drugs had become a major problem in the town of Massapequa. She put many, many hours of volunteer work into making this a very successful endeavor. Laura raised 4 children: Cheryl Linda, Janice Dee, Steven Alan and Jeff Richard. Laura moved down to Florida and 1989 where she was the office manager for her son Steven's chiropractic offices until 1995 when her vision began to fail. Laura is survived by her children Janice Aguanno, and Dr. Steven Golden, and their spouses Gabriel Aguanno and Heather Golden, her grandchildren Michael Aguanno, Steven Aguanno, and his spouse Brittany, Daniel Golden, Jessica Martin and her spouse Geran Martin, Angela Maher and Victoria Golden, her great-grandchildren Derrick, Chase and Shaun Martin, Jackson and Cole Aguanno, Thomas Membreno, Jaiden Griffin and Ean Rucker. Laura lost her children Cheryl Linda Maher 12 years ago and Jeff Golden six years ago. Services will be held Sunday 2/24/19 at 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Gary Panoch Funeral Home located at 6140 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton, Florida. Donations may be made in the memory of Laura Golden to the charity of your choice.
