Kailasben Patel closed her eyes to rest on August 25th, 2022. She was born on December 1st, 1936, and was raised in Surat, Gujarat, India. She also went to college in India and was an elementary school teacher before she immigrated to the United States with her family in 1974. She was very spiritual and in coming to the state's religion was a big part of her life, it was important for her to maintain and pass down the Hindu culture to her family. Kailasben was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was very devoted and passionate about her family, and she always accepted everyone with open arms. Her legacy will live on through her husband Baldev, her daughters Falguni and Yamini, her grandchildren Anand, Anjali, Sonali, and Jasmine, and of course her great-grandchildren, Adrian, and Maya.
