Oscar Julian Cortes Alvarez, a vibrant soul who illuminated the lives of those around him, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 15th, 2024, in Boynton Beach, Florida. Born on August 13, 1986, in Bogota, Colombia, Julian brought warmth, laughter, and boundless joy to all who knew him.

Julian was more than just a server and bartender; he was a master of creating unforgettable moments and cherished memories. His love for celebrating life was infectious, and his presence could light up even the darkest room.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Alexandra, who shared in his adventures and stood by his side through thick and thin. Oscar Julian also leaves behind his devoted mother, Maria, his father in Apolinar, his loving sister, Andrea, her husband, Diego, and their children, Lola and Dante. Additionally, he is mourned by his grandfather, Carmelo, who held a special place in his heart.

A wake to honor Julian's life will be held at the Gary Panoche Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida, on Wednesday, February 21st, from 1 pm to 5 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. Friends, family, and all who were touched by Julian's kindness and exuberance for life are invited to join in celebrating his remarkable journey and sharing fond memories of the moments they shared together.

Though Julian may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light he brought into the world.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 21, 2024, 1-5pm with a 2pm funeral service at the funeral home.
