IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joyelle Cherie
Martin
October 15, 1986 – January 27, 2023
Joyelle Cherie Martin was born in San Diego, CA on October 15, 1986. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 27, 2023. In 1993, her family moved from San Diego to Orlando, FL where she graduated with honors from Cypress Creek High in 2004. After graduation, she moved to different places around Florida, such as Viera, Satellite Beach, Bowling Green and Palm Harbor. Her last 10 or so years were spent in her favorite area; Boynton Beach.
Joyelle has been providing for herself since she was 14. Using her own money, she bought her first car, a sporty Acura, at 16 years of age.
Always a dedicated employee, she worked in the food industry for many years until she made an abrupt change.
Propelled by her desire to help others in addiction around her community, she went back to school at Palm Beach Community College for 2 years, followed by 2 more years at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where she graduated with Honors earning a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies.
During this time, she was hired by Caron Renaissance Addiction Center in Boca Raton. She worked her way up to a manager position and had hoped to be a full-fledged counselor upon completion of her Masters degree this upcoming June. Joyelle frequently attended Christ Fellowship in Boynton Beach and more recently attended the Boynton campus of Journey Church, as it was closer to home.
She will be greatly missed by her parents, Guy & Linda Martin from Port St Lucie, FL, her brother Joshua Martin, his wife Mary and niece Lily from Davenport, FL. and her many friends and relatives who all loved her dearly.
Besides her family and friends, she left behind her canine family; Jojo and Riley, whom she rescued from the kennel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 9, from 10 to 12, followed by the funeral service at noon. The proceedings will be held at the funeral home.
Around 1 o'clock, there will be a procession to Palm Beach Memorial Park in Lantana for Joyelle's burial.
For those who are interested in donating on Joyelle's behalf, ASCPA, a national pet rescue organization, is her preferred charity.
