Kasztner, Joseph "Joe", 80, of Boca Raton, FL passed away at his home on Monday, February 25, 2019.
Born March 28, 1938 in Zsira, a small farming village in western Hungary, also known as "the center of the universe", Joe was one of eight children. Joe developed his
exceptionally strong work ethic early in his childhood, by working hard on the farm before and after school alongside his parents and siblings. Joe fought for Hungary's freedom in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. After the Soviet suppression, Joe escaped to Austria where he quickly learned the German language and lived for three years before joining his brother Louis in the United States. Joe valued hard work and making an honest living, traits that served him well in the US. He became a skilled auto mechanic and in 1978 open up his own auto repair shop,
Kasztner Car Care, in Boca Raton, FL that remained in business for over 30 years. Joe was also an active member of the Boca Raton Lions Club where he served in several
roles including President from 1984-85. Joe will be lovingly remembered and forever respected by his beloved wife, Henrietta of 52 years, his loving children; Louis (Sharon), Diane (Mansour) Dagher, Nancy (Tim) Holland, his devoted grandchildren; Mathew, Lucas, Kyle, Jonah, Finley, Grace and Lyla, his brother  Brother Tony (Elszi), sister Margaret, her daughter Viola (Attila), brother in law Bogdan (Carol), sister in law Lucy (Bob), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends across the globe. Sisters Mary, Ilonka and Emerencia and his brothers Louis
and Frank predeceased Joe.

Family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2019, 9-10:30am at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 1, 2019, 11am at Ascension Catholic Church, Boca Raton. A reception will follow in the Ascension Family Center and Burial will be held 2:30pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
